Scope — Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

• Phone number — used to create and secure your account through SMS one-time-password (OTP) verification.
• Profile details — your name, and optionally an email address, your selected city/area, and your language preference.
• Coupon activity — the coupons you claim, their unique codes, and redemption history (when and where a coupon was redeemed).
• Usage & analytics data — anonymous, aggregated interactions such as which reels or deals are viewed and tapped, used to improve the content and the app.
• Diagnostics — crash and performance data to help us fix problems.
• Notification token — a device messaging token so we can send you push notifications (for example, when a coupon is redeemed).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To verify your identity and keep your account secure.
• To provide the core service: showing deals/reels and issuing and validating coupons.
• To send relevant notifications.
• To understand usage, prevent abuse and fraud, and improve the app.

3. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only as needed to run the service:

• Participating businesses — when you redeem a coupon at a business, that business can see the coupon code and that it was redeemed, so they can honor the offer.
• Service providers — we use Google Firebase (authentication, database, analytics, crash reporting, notifications) and Cloudinary (hosting images/videos). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Legal — if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

4. Data Retention

We keep your account and coupon data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 6), after which we remove your personal data, except where we must retain limited records for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.

5. Security

Data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure and protected by access rules so that only you (and, where applicable, an authorized administrator) can access your account data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

6. Your Rights

You can request to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or ask any privacy-related question, by contacting us at the address below. To delete your account and associated data, email us from the phone-linked account or include your registered phone number.

7. Children

Scope is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
